  1. aSLC means School Leaving Certificate, it is the same as a class ten pass. The students who pass class ten get this certificate which is required to get admission to college level
  2. bIn this study, caste systems are defined as ethnicity. There are five major castes in Nepal. Brahmin/Chhetri is the highest caste followed by ethnic groups. Ethnic groups are also divided into two: Newar/Gurung/Thakali as the well-off ethnic castes and other ethnic groups who are less well-off than Newar/Gururng/Thakali. Dalit are the most marginalised caste in Nepal and Madeshi Tribes are ethnic minorities who lives in Terai part of Nepal
