Spread of dementia-specific inpatient care services for people with dementia

Expert notes regarding inpatient care

Expert conclusion regarding dementia-specific care structures

When people receive a dementia diagnosis, they have to determine for themselves which services exist and what they can use. This process can be facilitated by the nationwide availability of information for people with dementia and family members, which is promoted through different communication channels in different campaigns. People with dementia and their families are rarely involved in the creation of information, care, and support services. Although the National Dementia Action Plan calls for the participation of this group in everything related to dementia, few people with dementia and/or family members are involved.
