Table 2 Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Male or female patient currently being treated for TB at either San Juan or Moronacocha healthcare centres

Any patient unable to give written or verbal informed consent

Legal adult in Peru

Any patient the clinician advises is too unwell to participate for the whole interview

Lives in the Loreto region

Not Spanish or English speaking
