Legend: Multivariable linear regression models were adjusted for age, ASA classification, diagnosis and type of surgery, histological subtype, surgical approach, duration of surgery, and type of additional surgical procedure. Hospital identifiers were entered in the models as dummy variables with interaction terms. Analysis of the log-transformed data showed similar results.
