“Proportion of patients affected by adherence barriers as measured by the ABQ”. The Figure shows the distribution of the percentage of patients affected by each of the adherence barriers. A patient is defined to be affected by a barrier, if the item score is greater than 2. Furthermore, the proportion of patients which could be assigned to the defined groups barriers’ groups/subscales is shown. A patient was assigned to a barriers’ group if the average score per item belonging to this subscale was greater than 2, or at least one subscale item had a score of 4.
