  2. Notes: Estimates are marginal effects from logistic regression models. For breast cancer, the regression sample is all women ages 30-50. For colorectal cancer the regression sample is all men and women ages 40-60. For prostate cancer the regression sample is all men ages 40-60. In each of the regressions, the "guideline'' variable assumes a value of 1 if the individual is within the guideline recommended age, and zero otherwise. Someone is defined as being adherent to the colorectal cancer screening guideline if they received either a FOBT within the past year, a sigmoidoscopy within the last 5 years or a colonoscopy within the last 10 years. BRFSS and NHIS income coding is different. The differences are described in the text.
