  2. The source table from ANOVA was used to calculate Interclass correlation 1 (ICC 1), Interclass correlation 2 (ICC 2), Eta Square (η2), and Omega Square (ω2) as follows:
  3. 1. ICC(1) = (BMS - WMS)/(BMS + [K - 1] WMS), where BMS is the between-group mean square, WMS is the within-group mean square, and K is the number of subjects per group. The average K for unequal group size was calculated as K = (1/[N - 1]) (ΣK - [ΣK2 /ΣK]);
  4. 2. ICC(2) = (BMS - WMS)/BMS;
  5. 3. η2 = SSB/SST, where SSB is the sum of squares between groups and SST is the sum of squares total; and ω2 = (SSB - [N - 1] WMS)/(SST + WMS).
  6. 4. ω2 = (SSB - [N - 1] WMS)/(SST + WMS).
