  1. Teaching Hospital: organization structured as a company, of national or super national level, dedicated to healthcare services associated with didactics and research.
  2. Scientific Research and Care Institute: organization structured as a company, of national or super national level, dedicated to high specialty healthcare services associated with biomedical research.
  3. General Hospital: organization structured as a company of regional or national level for healthcare services.
  4. Classified Hospital: religious hospital considered equal to the General Hospital within the National Healthcare System.
  5. LHU (Hospital under the jurisdiction of the Local Health Unit): hospital with a medium-to-low level of healthcare services complexity (e.g. prevention, healthcare to elderly people, etc.) which are directly managed and funded by Local Health Units.
